Campers at Club SciKidz West Chicago's Robotics: LEGO® & VEX BattleBots Unleashed! camp become active builders, coders, and problem-solvers. The program is a hands-on adventure designed to ignite a passion for STEM through the exciting world of robotics. Guided by expert instructors, campers dive into building, coding, and engineering challenges in a fun, collaborative environment. They will design, build, and program their own competitive BattleBot using both LEGO and the powerful VEX Robotics system. This involves learning engineering, circuitry, and real-world coding with VEXcode Python. Campers construct robots from the ground up, strategize for success, and test their creations in a week-long tournament. Through these activities, they develop teamwork, critical thinking, and technical skills that are valuable for a lifetime.

What a typical day looks like

A typical day includes general check-in, an all-camp science demonstration, three S.T.E.A.M rotations, snack and refresh breaks, lunch/recess, and team/skill-building activities, concluding with clean-up and camper pickup.
