About this camp

The DePaul University Jarvis Game Development Summer Camp offers high school students an immersive, hands-on experience in game creation. Campers will learn to design, program, and produce assets for 3D computer games using a game development platform. The curriculum focuses on practical skills, allowing students to explore various roles within the game production process, including game design, character art, level design, and animation. Taught by full-time DePaul faculty and staff from the Instruction Game and Innovation Lab, along with special video game industry guests, the camp provides a unique opportunity to learn from experts. Students will gain valuable experience in a state-of-the-art facility, fostering creativity and technical proficiency in the exciting field of game development.

What a typical day looks like

A typical day involves hands-on instruction and team-based work, brainstorming, designing, programming, and producing assets for a 3D computer game. Lunch is provided daily.
