About this camp

Students at CFI Robotics NFP's STEM Full-Day Summer Camps empower their creativity and curiosity through hands-on engineering, science exploration, creativity, teamwork, outdoor time, and reflection. Each week blends these elements, allowing students to explore ideas, apply skills, collaborate with peers, and dive deeper into meaningful projects. Campers build, code, experiment, and test ideas using materials and technology tied to the camp theme, such as engineering robots, designing structures, running experiments, or creating digital worlds. The camps are project-based, ensuring students are active participants in their learning every day, thinking like engineers, scientists, designers, and problem solvers. Students leave with completed projects, new skills, and the confidence to explain what they built and why it works.

Specific camp experiences include exploring survival skills in Minecraft and the real world, blasting off into space science and engineering through rockets, rovers, drones, and flight experiments, and diving into marine science, environmental studies, and ocean engineering through hands-on labs and creative builds. Other themes challenge students to think like architects and designers in Minecraft, tackle real-world engineering projects like bridges and towers, or travel back in time to explore how ancient civilizations solved engineering problems by building catapults, structures, and machines inspired by historical technologies.

What a typical day looks like
